🗓️ Content Posting Schedule Generator
Enter how often you plan to post and a start date to generate a list of upcoming publish dates for your content calendar.
An interval in days, rounded to whole dates
The generator turns a weekly target into a fixed gap, then steps forward from your start date:
interval days = 7 ÷ posts per week
post i = start date + round(i × interval)
total posts = posts per week × weeks
Two posts a week is an interval of 3.5 days. Because each date is rounded to a whole day, the gaps alternate 4, 3, 4, 3 - so a Monday start produces Mon, Fri, Mon, Fri, hitting the same two weekdays every week rather than drifting. Three a week gives 2.33 days and settles into a 2, 3, 2 pattern on the same three weekdays. Four weeks at two a week produces eight dates.
What it does and does not handle
- Your start day sets every day after it. Begin on a Saturday at two a week and every post lands at a weekend. Pick the start date you actually want to publish on.
- Nothing is skipped. Holidays, weekends and your own time off all get dates; move them by hand afterwards.
- Dates are shown US-style - Mon, Sep 9, 2026 - whatever your own locale is set to.
- The steppers stop at 7 posts a week and 26 weeks, which at the maximum is 182 dates in one list.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I post?
At a rate you can hold for months without the quality dropping. One a week kept up all year beats three a week for a fortnight, and the calendar makes the real cost visible: three a week over 26 weeks is 78 pieces of content.
Why do my dates fall on the same weekdays each week?
Because the interval divides seven evenly enough that rounding keeps it in step. Two a week alternates four- and three-day gaps, which adds to exactly seven, so the weekday pattern repeats instead of sliding through the week.
Can I generate a schedule for a whole year?
Not in one pass - the weeks field stops at 26. Run it for 26 weeks, then run it again using the day after the last date as the new start.
