⛳ Golf Card Game Score Calculator

In the card game Golf, players play nine rounds (hands) and try to keep their score as low as possible. Enter each player's score per round below to see totals.

How the grid is totalled

Each column is one player, each row one of the nine holes. Nothing is weighted:

player total = sum of that player’s nine round scores
leader = the lowest total; equal lows are reported as a tie

Blank or non-numeric cells count as zero, so a game abandoned after six holes still totals correctly. Rounds of 4, 8, −2, 12, 0, 6, 3, 9 and 5 add to 45, and the trophy marks whoever is lowest rather than highest — the whole point of the game. Up to eight players fit across, and the grid recalculates as you type.

What you type into each cell

This is a round total, not a card list, so work out the hand yourself first. The values most tables use:

CardValue
King0
Ace1
2−2
3 to 10Face value
Jack, Queen10
Joker−2 (some play −5)
Set the number of players before you start entering scores. Changing that field rebuilds the grid and clears every cell back to zero.

Frequently asked questions

What are the card values in the card game Golf?

Kings are 0, aces 1, twos usually −2, threes to tens face value, jacks and queens 10, and jokers −2 or −5. Agree the joker and two before dealing, as tables differ.

How many rounds is a game of Golf?

Nine, matching nine holes, which is what this grid provides. Some groups play eighteen by running two games and adding the totals.

Does the highest or lowest score win?

Lowest, as in real golf. A perfect hand of six cards paired into three columns scores zero, and a well-played nine rounds usually finishes somewhere in the forties.
