Quality thresholds are informational rules of thumb, not hard rules: ≥300 DPI is
considered standard photo/print quality (fine detail, close viewing), 150-299 DPI is
generally acceptable for most prints, 100-149 DPI is low quality but can work for large
prints viewed from a distance (posters, banners), and below 100 DPI will typically look
visibly soft or pixelated at normal viewing distance.
