🏢 Business Name Generator
Enter a keyword describing your business or industry and generate a batch of brandable name ideas. These are starting points for brainstorming — always check trademark and domain availability before committing to a name.
How the names are put together
Your keyword is capitalised, stripped of anything that is not a letter, and dropped into one of four patterns chosen at random:
prefix + keyword PrimeBright (15 prefixes)
keyword + suffix BrightLabs (12 suffixes)
prefix + keyword + suffix ApexBrightWorks (15 × 12 = 180)
keyword + suffix + .io BrightForge.io (12)
That is 219 distinct names for any one keyword. The tool keeps drawing until it has the number you asked for, skipping repeats, so a request for 50 returns 50 different names. Draws use the browser's cryptographic random source with a rejection step, which means the last few prefixes in the list are no less likely than the first.
Working with the output
- Nothing is saved. Pressing Generate again replaces the list, so copy anything you like somewhere before you click a second time.
- Try the shorter, plainer part of your keyword. "Bright" produces workable names; "brightsolutions" produces ApexBrightsolutionsWorks.
- Say each candidate out loud and spell it to someone. A name that needs spelling twice on a phone call costs you something every day it exists.
Frequently asked questions
Does this check whether the name is already taken?
No. Before committing, search your national trademark database, your state or company register, and the domain. A name can be free as a domain and still infringe a trademark in your industry.
Can I legally use a name this generated?
The names are not owned by anyone here and you are free to use one, subject to the usual checks. Generation gives you no rights of its own - those come from registering the business and, if you want protection, the trademark.
What makes a good business name?
Short, easy to spell after hearing it once, and not so literal that it boxes you in when the business changes. Descriptive names are easy to understand and hard to protect; invented ones are the reverse.
