🐾 Multi-Pet Grooming Schedule Tracker
Add each pet's last groomed date and grooming interval to see when each one is next due, and flag any that are overdue.
One line of arithmetic per pet
Each row is independent. The tracker converts that pet's interval to days, adds it to the last groomed date, and compares the result with today:
next due = last groomed + (interval weeks × 7)
overdue = next due is earlier than today (UTC)
The two demo rows show it: Bella was groomed today on a six-week interval, so she is due in 42 days, while Max was done 50 days ago on the same interval and carries the overdue warning, eight days past. A pet due today is not flagged - the marker appears only once the date has gone by.
Working the rows
- Interval is in weeks, minimum one. Blank it, or type 0, and the row silently falls back to 1 rather than breaking the date.
- Set the interval per pet, from its coat - typically 4-6 weeks for long or curly, 6-8 for a double coat, 8-12 for short. A shared number for the whole household suits whichever pet is easiest.
- Add Pet appends a row dated today; Remove disappears when only one pet is left, so the tracker always has at least one.
- Stagger, then check the calendar. Two dogs due the same week is one long afternoon and one large bill.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know which pet is overdue for grooming?
Any row whose next due date has passed is marked Overdue in the results. The dates recalculate as you type, so correcting a last-groomed date clears or raises the flag straight away.
Can I track cats and dogs in the same list?
Yes. Each row carries its own interval, so a cat needing only occasional de-matting at 12 weeks sits happily beside a doodle at 5.
Does the tracker remember my pets?
No. There is no storage of any kind, and closing the tab loses the list. It is built for working out dates, not for keeping records.
